Small Business Networking

small business networkingThe Congregational Church of Batavia Small Business Networking Group is a free business networking group open to all small business owners and those interested in this community. You do not have to be a Christian or member of the church to participate; all are welcome.  We meet the first, third and fifth Thursdays every month, from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at the church, 21 S. Batavia Avenue, Batavia, IL.

Our meetings begin with a brief prayer, followed by individual introductions (aka “elevator speeches”) and a presentation by a group member. The formal meetings end at 9:30 am; those who are available are welcome to stay for informal networking.

The  small business networking group has been active and growing for over seven years. Approximately 25 to 40 business owners and others attend each meeting; there are always new people to meet, as well as business contacts to maintain.

Our business networking group is non-industry exclusive; everyone is welcome. Members are free to invite anyone they think may be interested in the group. We also welcome individuals who have found us via Meetup, Facebook, Linked In or any of the other social media channels.

Our style is informal and casual, yet we stay focused and manage to pack a lot of networking opportunities and useful content into our one hour meetings.

We have no fees because we have no expenses. We take a free will offering to cover the cost of coffee.

In the CCOB Business Networking Group we do not announce or track referrals or leads. Our purpose is to bring individuals together to develop professional relationships, we believe that business leads will evolve naturally from these relationships.

Please feel free to drop by and visit; we are looking forward to meeting you!
